Like always it turned to be a dull Saturday , so thought of doing anything nice on Sunday….. but the fun and enjoyment should not be planned and executed….. thought of riding distance…any remote place…. Any new place rather than the usual Mahabs or Vedanthangal…..
This time to a new place.. SDSC-SHAR ie, Satish dhawan space centre in Sriharikota… I had never been to that place… it is only 100 km from Chennai…so the best way is to google the way to reach the location 13.727379,80.227661(SHAR) .the travel plan is ready by 2.00am ,actually I fixed this location at 1.30am…. maybe the influence from swades. The alarm went off at 4.40am and I am ready by 5.30am… the journey started from pallavaram .. the travel is mainly through the NH5 ..the road was so nice to drive…
CHENNAI-GUMMIDIPUNDI-TADA-SULLURPETA-SRIHARIKOTA
Things astonished me after crossing the TN border into AP:
1. Something I felt like the breeze was so cool when comparing to TN.. maybe due to the sea breeze.
2. The road was so black than normal TN roads.
3. The NHAI providing road assistance by installing SOS telephone services in certain intervals.
4. Full freedom to the vehicles.. the allowed driving speed is 100kmph totally wacked when I saw this sign board
Totally I was loving AP once more for this maintenance of roads…
Roads to tirupathi is also nicely laid when comparing the TN highways.
Disappointment in SHAR:
They are not allowing visitors, no outsiders… you are allowed only any of your relations work there and also only with the entry pass which should be acquired prior to our visit like in most government organizations.
Passes could be acquired by getting permission from the PRO.
And also on 15th of this july there is a launch scheduled at 4.40 …so 5days before the launch the security is tighten in high range.. security checks are heavy even for the regulars.. so my entry is not at all a possible one.
The pulicat bird sanctuary… few birds are visible ..since availability of water is low… it was fully white wherever we look …fully empty…. And to mention the road from SULLURPETA to SHAR…. The 17 km stretch was a bliss…. It was a cool drive….
Totally it was a 250 km drive for Sunday not bad….. the NH5 I’m loving it NHAI.
